As the founder of Homeopathy for Health in Africa (‘HHA’), Jeremy Sherr has been treating people with HIV/AIDS in Tanzania since 2008.

Jeremy began his homeopathic studies in 1980 at the College of Homoeopathy, London, and simultaneously completed a degree in Acupuncture at the International College of Oriental Medicine. In 1986 he founded the Dynamis School, the longest running post-graduate homeopathy course in the world. Jeremy has taught and lectured in over 30 countries and is responsible for the proving (testing) of 35 new homeopathic remedies. He has published numerous articles and books, including The Dynamic Methodology of Homoeopathic Provings and Dynamic Materia Medica of Syphilis, which are all homeopathic bestsellers and are used as text books in many schools.

Jeremy was awarded a Fellowship by the Society of Homeopaths in 1991 and both Medicina Alternativa and Pioneer University have awarded him a Ph.D. He is a member of the North American Society of Homeopaths, the Israeli Society for Classical Homoeopathy, an honorary professor at Yunan Medical College, Kunming, China, and an associate Professor at University Candegabe, Argentina.

Camilla Sherr is the co-founder of HHA and has been treating people with HIV/AIDS in Tanzania since 2009. She is the married to Jeremy Sherr, with whom she has three children, Ike, Noga and Amy.

Camilla graduated from the Finnish Institute of Homeopathy in 1994. She practiced for two years and then moved to England to attend the Dynamis School of Advanced Homeopathic Studies, where she currently also teaches. In 1997, she spent three months teaching local doctors and practicing in the poor barrios of Honduras. She has lectured in the UK, Israel, Honduras, USA, Malta, Norway, Denmark and Bulgaria.

Camilla has participated in many of the Dynamis provings of new homeopathic remedies. She has published numerous articles in European and American journals and is the editor of Dynamic Provings: Volume 2. She was recently honoured with a Fellowship from the Society of Homeopaths in the UK.

Anitha has been with HHA since March 2014. HHA first met Elisia and Anitha in 2014, they were ‘top of their class’ in an Introduction to Homeopathy Course we ran locally for early school leavers. They both went on to study Homeopathy in the Kenyan School of Integrated Medicine, with their practical training completed with us here in Moshi. They graduated in 2018 and now jointly head up the homeopathy practise at HHA’s permanent centre. They are both wonderful homeopaths, and administrators with a strong desire to develop their own practise and assist in the community. Anita and Elisia are also very involved in HHA’s teaching programmes and are wonderful mentors to our ‘barefoot Homeopaths’, who take acute cases in their Communities.

Vanessa is a trainee homeopath for HHA.  Her sister, Elisia , is one of our qualified homepaths.  Vanessa comes from Marangu, a village on the slopes of Kilimanjaro.

Vanessa’s English is now excellent so she often helps with translation as well as making up remedies both at Outreach clinics and our HHA centre. HHA provides education and security  during her 4 years training and a job. Vanessa will emerge an independent young woman with a professional career.

Amina has recently joined the HHA team as our cook.  She prepares a meal for all the staff at the centre, and a couple of extra people we feed on a daily basis!  She also cooks for any volunteers or interns who are at the centre at lunchtime.  This vital job helps everyone.  Often the homeopaths and team return late from our outreach clinics and having a nutritious and hot meal waiting for them is fantastic.

Liz Norman has worked behind the scenes in the day-to-day administration of HHA since its inception in 2008, and is an invaluable member of the HHA team.  

Liz is a qualified homeopath, graduating from the School of Homeopathy in 2008.  Liz has worked with Jeremy and Camilla Sherr since 2005.  She coordinates courses, sales, webinars, administration and finances for the Dynamis School for Advanced Homeopathic Studies. Passionate about homeopathy, and passionate about organisation, Liz works tirelessly in the background making sure HHA continues to operate smoothly.

REBECCA STIRRUP

New Zealand- Donations team and Homeopath

Rebecca is as passionate about homeopathy now as when she discovered homeopathy over 35 years ago.  She lives in New Zealand and has a practise there.  Rebecca has been volunteering in Tanzania since 2013 and knows the project intimately. She has visited the project many times and knows our outreach clinics, local organisers and the HHA Tanzanian staff very well. She has taught in Kenya, Malawi and in Tanzania.  Her experience on the ground at a grassroots level has enabled her to volunteer at other levels. Rebecca has been managing our donations team this year, helping with newsletters, social media and the website. Rebecca is also president of the NZ Homeopathic Society and on the board of the NZ College of Natural Medicine and Homeopathy.

Marina lives in the USA but is of Dutch origin. She is an experienced New York homeopath. Marina recently published an excellent article in Spectrum magazine detailing many great cases on Covid. Marina has been volunteering with HHA in Tanzania since 2012 and knows the project and staff very well Marina manages the internship/volunteer programs for HHA, ensuring they get all the visa, travel and ‘ take out on the ground’ knowledge ready for their 2-week program or a longer stay. Marina also visits Tanzania to facilitate the internships.

Crystal has been a qualified homeopath since 2018 and lives in New Zealand. She started her volunteer life for the NZ Homeopathic Society, taking over the role of social media guru. Subsequently, she joined the HHA team focusing on social media and has done a great job. She has also designed marketing brochures for the project. Now Crystal is taking on even more in this area and is doing a two year diploma in digital marketing.
