Fire is also the spark of intuition, that which takes us beyond linear logic, a leap of perception required to match remedy to epidemic. Like all sparks this can hold an inherent danger. Uncontrolled intuition can easily lead to folly if it is not based on the observation of very many cases and the study of the epidemic as a whole. Like dilution without succussion, intuition without work does not result in potentisation. Fire is a tool in my search for the genus epidemicus of AIDS in East Africa. In this case the spark led me to the radioactive period.
