I don’t have much to say about Gallium at this stage. And perhaps that says it all. Gallium lies hidden in the deep: one moment solid, the next liquid. Yet there is a voice waiting to express this proving, a loud and clear voice. I believe that, like its neighbor Germanium, who lies hidden in the depths of despair and suppression, Gallium, once revealed, will became one of our best healing tools. This proving was the largest I remember in terms of provers: 35 people in all. I do not recommend doing such large provings for the uninitiated. We started hearing proving reports at 10 am and I remember the last stragglers leaving at 2 am the next morning, after a long and exhausting day, The reports were heavy: pathology, anxiety, plane crashes, deep limbo, even aversion to one’s beloved homoeopathy.
As so often happens when the proving is not completed before the class disperses, this one suffered sudden death, was lost, frozen, scattered and stuck. So much was missing; so much was in a mess. It needed a hero to save it and the hero appeared: my good friend and colleague, Jake Kiakahi. Jake struggled – for years. To add to his difficulty in reassembling the proving, he had me on his back, with my talent for losing material and crashing hard drives. Fortunately, Jake is a tenacious guy, well-versed in fishing and hunting. He carried on, despite the understandable frustration.
Jake is the hero of Gallium, as are all the galvanized, gallant provers. You may wonder why I chose Gallium. Other than my obsession with having the whole periodic table proved, the Gallium Dynamis School took place in Toronto and included many French Canadian homoeopaths. This became a social and political issue, as homoeopathy was fighting for its life in Quebec at the time. I thought a little Gallic influence might help. Despite my, as yet, inadequate knowledge of this remedy, I have had two wonderful cases with excellent results. It is those gems that are hidden in the deep that have most to offer. Study it, understand it, use it. You and your patients will be grateful. Behold! Element number 31: Gallium.
